Today’s video provides yet another reason to switch to electronic cigarettes. This experiment conducted by A Samimy Productions is a great eye-opener for anyone who’s thinking about quitting smoking. In this video a machine rapidly takes the smoke from 400 cigarettes and sucks it into a bottle filled with water. Gradually, you’ll see the water get darker as more tar is introduced. After all of the cigarettes are absorbed into the water it is boiled and vaporized in a pot leaving a disgusting black chunk of tar behind. This is what goes into your lungs every time you smoke tobacco cigarettes.

Today, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger voted against senate bill 400, a bill that would have banned electronic cigarettes in the state of California. This comes as refreshing news to electric cigarette smokers all across the state of California as the popular smoking alternative’s future was uncertain.
While Schwarzenegger wants to ban the sale of electronic cigarettes for consumers under the age of 18 he stated that “If adults want to purchase and consume these products with an understanding of the associated health risks, they should be able to do so unless and until federal law changes the legal status of these tobacco products.”
We’d like to tip our hats to Matt Salmon and the Electronic Cigarette Association for continuing to educate consumers and lawmakers on the benefits of switching to electronic cigarettes. Great job guys!

Our disposable electronic cigarette came packed in the same sturdy plastic container you see in the image on the left. It was sealed with a quality control sticker on the back that indicated an expiration date about 8 months from now.
The disposable electronic cigarette is fairly average looking. It’s battery is white and the cartridges are orange. Right above the cartridge is a tiny logo that reads “e-tobacco” along with a tiny pin-sized air hole to control vapor (more on this in a moment). The top of the disposable electronic cigarette is pretty interesting. Where the LED would normally be located is an on/off switch that looks similar to an unlit LED on a higher end electronic cigarette. Unfortunately when you puff on this, it doesn’t light up. This was most likely to save on production costs to keep the price low.

We’ve been receiving a lot of questions about whether or not it is safe to smoke electronic cigarettes during pregnancy. We are by no means experts on expectant mothers and pregnancy but the answer to this question is an obvious “NO.” Anything a pregnant woman ingests into her body travels to the baby via the umbilical cord including the chemicals found in cigarettes and electronic cigarettes.
